Drops

Drop paintings are one of the major themes in Cécile Huttenmoser's work. 

Inspired by Japanese sakura and her trip to the island of the rising sun, Cécile created a first drops canvas called drops of spring recalling the petals of Japanese cherry trees. Then, like Vivaldi's 4 seasons, Cécile created her own interpretation of the 4 seasons with the drops of spring, summer, autumn and winter. 

Alongside the 4 seasons, Cécile thought about other interpretations of her drops including:

• Having the blues,

• Blue Monday,

• Sunny Sunday,

• Welcome to the jungle.

Through her Drops, Cécile seeks the harmony of colors and studies their perception by the eye according to their associations.
