Nudes
Women have always occupied a major role in artistic creation. Cécile Huttenmoser practiced depicting the female body. These female bodies are drawn with a single, continuous line. Entirely curved, these female silhouettes are reminiscent of Man Ray's "The Violin of Ingres."
After drawing female bodies in black on a white background, Cécile incorporated colored backgrounds into her drawings of women using a BIC® Crystal pen. This medium allowed her to work the line evenly and continuously from one edge of the sheet to the other, with irregular ink deposits, breaking up this repetitive gesture.
These backgrounds, created with a BIC® pen, are the result of reflection and research by Cécile, who has always been fascinated by Constantin Brancusi's endless column, the writing of Dadamaino ("L'alfabeto della Mente"), and the work of Alighero Boeti.
